Quick low down on that is the background is glued little scraps of paper with a tan tissue paper overlay lots of gule on top of that to make it transparent. Starfish image enhanced with marker and glitter. Asian characters are from a food package.
And sewn on top is an acetate overlay.
I adore that starfish one! Hope we can trade sometime :D
